Aviation and Military Sculpture

New from Peter Close a series of Military and Aviation  cold cast bronze sculptures depicting the airmen and aircrew of WWII. Each sculpture is hand made by Peter in his workshop.

All of Peter's aviation and military sculptures are limited to an edition of 250 and are supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Each sculpture is engraved with its own unique edition number when purchased - if you would like to request a particular number please contact us to check availability.

Many months of painstaking work go in to creating each original aircrew figure. The task of achieving a high level of authentic detail has been made possible by the invaluable assistance of Geoff Pringle of  'Oldnautibits'  who acts as a technical consultant on the project and provides clothing and equipment so that the sculptures can actually be modelled from real life as opposed to old photographs. Needless to say, a huge bonus for any artist!
