Jim Clark Bronze Bust – Formula One Legend Motorsport Sculpture

A Bronze Bust of Jim Clark

This Jim Clark bronze bust by British sculptor Peter Close captures the quiet determination and thoughtful character of one of the greatest racing drivers in motorsport history. The sculpture portrays Clark with a calm, reflective expression, inspired by a poignant moment from the film Nine Days in Summer where he walks alone along the rain-soaked circuit at Watkins Glen before the 1967 Grand Prix.

The piece reflects the contrast that defined Clark’s personality: supreme confidence and precision behind the wheel, yet a modest and reserved character away from the racetrack.

The Legacy of a Formula One Champion

Jim Clark is widely regarded as one of the most naturally gifted drivers in Formula One history. The Scottish driver won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship twice, in 1963 and 1965, racing for Team Lotus.

During his Formula One career he achieved 25 Grand Prix victories, 33 pole positions and 28 fastest laps, remarkable achievements given his relatively short career.

Clark also demonstrated exceptional versatility in motorsport. In 1965 he won the Indianapolis 500, becoming the first non-American driver to win the race in nearly 50 years.

His extraordinary talent and smooth driving style have led many historians and drivers to consider him one of the greatest racers of all time.

Cold Cast Bronze Motorsport Sculpture

This Jim Clark sculpture is produced using the cold cast bronze technique, combining bronze powder with resin to create a material that closely resembles solid bronze while allowing fine sculptural detail.

The bronze finish highlights the facial features and expression of the driver, giving the Formula One driver bust a strong presence suitable for display in a study, office or motorsport collection.
