Bronze Cocker Spaniel Sculpture Luca

This charming bronze cocker spaniel sculpture captures the gentle character and lively spirit of this much-loved dog breed. Sculpted by British artist Peter Close, the sculpture portrays a relaxed spaniel sitting quietly, with its expressive eyes and soft feathered ears giving the piece warmth and personality.

The sculpture is based on Luca, a handsome cocker spaniel belonging to my sister in law. His friendly nature and distinctive appearance inspired the piece. The pose captures a calm moment of rest while still reflecting the alert curiosity typical of the breed. 

The flowing coat has been carefully modelled to highlight the soft, wavy fur that is characteristic of cocker spaniels. The texture of the fur contrasts beautifully with the smooth form of the body, creating a natural and lifelike appearance.

Produced using the cold cast bronze technique, the sculpture combines real bronze powder with resin to achieve the look and weight of traditional bronze. This process allows fine details in the coat and facial expression to be reproduced with great clarity.

Standing 32cm high, this bronze cocker spaniel sculpture makes a delightful decorative piece for the home. It is especially popular with dog lovers and collectors of bronze animal sculptures.
