Peter Close’s Legends of Motorsport collection celebrates iconic racing drivers through detailed bronze portrait sculpture. These motorsport sculptures capture the character and determination of some of the greatest figures in racing history and are created as limited edition cold cast bronze sculptures.

Motorsport Portrait Sculptures

Peter Close has a long-standing interest in motorsport and portrait sculpture. Each racing driver sculpture begins as a hand-modelled portrait before being cast in cold cast bronze and carefully finished by hand. These sculptures celebrate the personalities and achievements of legendary drivers and are collected by motorsport enthusiasts and racing fans.

Peter Close also creates military sculpture, aviation sculpture, and animal sculptures alongside his motorsport work.

Motorsport Sculpture Commissions

Collectors and motorsport organisations sometimes commission portrait sculptures of racing legends. Peter Close accepts sculpture commissions for custom portrait sculpture projects.
